Dina Meyer was born and raised at Forest Hills Queens New York. Before she finished her junior year, she relocated to Queens to Dix Hills Long Island. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother, and Evan. Modeling was her first job in the field. She did it between the ages of nine and sixteen. Her acting education began with The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and studied Sanford Meisner's techniques for acting together alongside Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who received training to this manner and so were Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate from Los Angeles to Los Angeles. Then, she got as the lead role in the movie Johnny Mnemonic, in which she was able to do all her stunts herself, and established herself as an athletic actress.
